Hong Kong – Mainland Interim Measures Arrangement: the 5th Anniversary and Its Application to Maritime Cases

In celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Arrangement Concerning Mutual Assistance in Court-ordered Interim Measures in Aid of Arbitral Proceedings by the Courts of the Mainland and of the HKSAR (the “Arrangement”), the seminar aims to promote the use of the Arrangement and its application to Hong Kong's maritime arbitration services. The seminar will start with a discussion of toolbox in aid of maritime arbitration and arbitration under the “HKMAG Procedures for the Administration of Arbitration under the HKMAG Terms”, following by a review of the Arrangement over the past 5 years. Practical experiences regarding the Arrangement will be shared from both Hong Kong and Mainland perspectives. Furthermore, interim measures available in Hong Kong for maritime cases will be presented, encouraging insightful discussions among participants.
